Honoring the Past, Embracing the Challenges Ahead
In his inaugural message in his new term as ASTCT President, Dr. David Porter reflects on three decades of involvement with ASTCT and extends heartfelt thanks to the leaders and volunteers who’ve helped shape its path. He outlines pressing advocacy priorities — including NIH funding, immigration policy and safeguarding nonprofit institutions — and emphasizes the need for continued member engagement to meet these challenges head-on. Coming off a successful Tandem Meeting in Honolulu, he looks to the future with optimism, including plans for Salt Lake City 2026, and encourages members to stay involved and share their feedback.
