The congress aims to engage in scientific and educational activities, and endeavors including specifically, but not limited to, promoting and fostering among the many scientific and clinical disciplines, the exchange and diffusion of information and ideas relating to HCT and CT.

The ASTCT Clinical Research Training Course (CRTC) is a program for fellows and junior faculty that covers the principles of research and how to take findings from the laboratory to the clinic. Each year, the CRTC provides an opportunity for 12 scholars to work 1:1 with the course faculty and statisticians through formal presentations and extensive follow-up dialogue and small-group discussion.

The overarching goal of the Summit is to explore how the strengths of ASTCT centers and members can be leveraged to bring effective therapies safely and rapidly to patients while advancing the field of ex vivo gene therapy.
