Building on the original 2019 framework for cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS), the initiative reviewed emerging toxicities such as IEC-associated hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis-like syndrome (IEC-HS), hematotoxicity, non-ICANS neurological complications, enterocolitis, tumor inflammation-associated neurotoxicity, and on-target, off-tumor effects. The updated consensus criteria aims to standardize toxicity assessment across clinical trials and real-world practice, enabling more consistent reporting, comparison of treatment outcomes, and improved patient management.
